Taco Bell Bacon Cheesy Potato Burrito
Price: $2.79
Taco Bell was basically off my radar until I read the about how they opened their test kitchen for WIBIA friends, Epic Portions and Grub Grade. Since then, Taco Bell sounds pretty good…your plan worked Taco Bell….damn you!!

The Bacon Cheesy Potato Burrito was packed full of said ingredients along with some ground beef and sour cream as well. I was impressed with the size even before I took a bite. I was relived to see some substance since Taco Bell has the tendency to be skimpy at times.
Right away, you get a nice bacon flavor. Throughout the burrito, I didn’t taste the sour cream at all. It was all about the cheese and bacon while the potatoes and the ground beef were more filler than anything else. My wife asked how it was and she tried a bite…”Hey…that is pretty good!” She was right.
Would I Buy It Again? A strong Yes. Bravo Taco Bell, damn fine job. This is actually now my favorite burrito from Taco Bell and I hope it stays on the menu. However, I would’ve like to see them incorporate some Lava Sauce in here somehow. It would’ve benefited from a little kick.

Wuuuuwee. That sounds and looks awesome! I bet that would be fantastic with the Volcano sauce.
Isn’t amazing how marketing works….I swear. Like all of the fast food places with their racy ads…you know all their trying to do is get Good Morning America and The View to talk about how bad the ad is. Evil geniuses…grrrrrrrr.

Never had this, but I know people that have and they give it the same glowing review. I may have to temporarily suspend my love of the Why Pay More Value Menu in order to get this next time.

Thanks, it was time. It was fun to make the banner and remember some good eats over the last 3 monhts. If you look closely, the banner actually has pics of 3 future posts.

That new banner does look pretty killer, as does the burrito

This thing is pretty fantastic. It has kinda a southwestern taste from the bacon and potatoes, new territory for taco bell (thank god)

It’s so hard to appreciate the look of an opened Taco Bell burrito without knowing the actual taste.
I think I will purchase this one on my own and not open it because it sounds pretty dang good!

You can ask them to put the Lava Sauce on anything on the menu. There is a small cost for doing that, but it’s not too much.

Glad to hear that you like the product. I tried it too and was blown away by the great flavors. In regard to you comment about wishing that Taco Bell incorporated the Lava Sauce into the burrito, you can add the Lava Sauce to any Taco Bell item, including the Bacon Cheesy Potato Burrito, for only about 30¢. Tell me how it is.

For the site, I order everything as is except if there is mayo. I was just wanting something a little spicy, fire sauce might do the trick as well.
Btw, how does one earn the title “Taco Bell Guru?”

I got one last night. What a waste of money. Litterally, it was only about the size of the regular bean burrito. It tasted good, in the 5 bites I got before it was all tortilla.
I can’t believe I paid almost $3.00 for it. I was sadly dissapointed as it was a rip off. Maybe just that location. But sad.

Yeah I had that happen to me when I got the volcano burrito. I got a volcano burrito and a grilled chicken burrito, and two steak soft tacos.. and the volcano burrito was in a smaller tortilla than the 89 cent chicken burrito. And it hardly had any sauce, or anything but a little beef for that matter. I did call up the next night and the manager told me to come in and grab a new one. Then I was impressed.
